nfscan: an open-source software to change the way Brazilians make donations

In Brazil, tax refunds can be donated using the information on the receipt (simply called NF). But the non-profits need to manually type all the info on each receipt they receive onto the government's website. Making the process difficult.

More than a campaign to raise awareness, we needed to solve the donation process. Our solution was a software that scans a picture of a receipt for the right info. Making the process scalable and as simple as taking a picture.
