With the emergence of gourmet burgers and food provenance getting bigger than ever in Ireland, McDonald’s Ireland with CawleyNea/TBWA decided to launch the McMór. The McMór is a local burger made with all things Irish. 100% Irish beef, 100% Irish bacon, Irish Charleville Cheddar and a great big dollop of Ireland’s favourite Ballymaloe relish and all served in a potato flake bun. In fairness, could you get more Irish. Well you can, if you call it an Irish name like the McMór, (which means Big) and shoot the ad in the most Irish place that exists in Ireland, stick loads of Irish flags in it, place it on a stone wall, in a carved bog Oak box on a woolen blanket, play Ireland’s unofficial national anthem and get one of Ireland’s Eurovision song contest legends to serve it to you. Then perhaps it could.
