Campari: How to drink a Campari - Turning Tables
LERNERT & SANDER TURN THINGS UPSIDE DOWN FOR CAMPARI JAPAN
A giant block of ice, two helpful assistants and a few simple tools. That´s all it takes for the inventive, elegant heroine in a spanking new triptych directed by Lernert & Sander to solve the puzzling question of how to drink a glass of Campari that has been turned upside down, without spilling a single drop. Lernert & Sander are famous for their conceptual approach and clear presentation. The fresh and quirky videos for Campari/Suntory are the product of an inspiring synergy between the Dutch artistic duo and Morihiro Harano, the Japanese multitalented creative director and founder of Mori Inc. Morihiro Harano is well known for outstanding videos such as ´I Won´t Let You Down´ for OK Go, ´Xylophone´ for NTT DoCoMo and ´Beautiful Engines´ for Honda. Instead of putting the focus on alluring models, Lernert & Sander wanted to direct the sense of intrigue back to the drink itself. In each episode, the heroine comes up with a different ingenious solution to turn the glass back into drinking position. She first cuts out a looping slide of ice, then flips the tables, and finally freezes the glass to fix it to the surface. These captivating videos, shot in a minimalistic white set and accompanied by a jazzy score, mark the launch of Campari on the Japanese market. ADULT, a creative ally of Lernert & Sander for years, produced the triptych. The globally operating production company has already made several other highly successful productions together with Lernert & Sander, including Eastpak x Jean Paul Gaultier, De Jeugd van Tegenwoordig, Colette, Vector, Vogue and many others.
