Brief:
South West Trains wanted to encourage more people to travel during the usually quiet summer period by offering £20 adult day return tickets.

Solution:
We capitalised on the travel industry’s tradition for using posters to advertise foreign destinations during the summer months. That’s why, on first glance, our campaign appeared to promote glamorous locations abroad for only £20. But when people looked closer, they were in for a big surprise: the stunning scenery and beautiful beaches were actually located in the south of England.
This perfectly illustrated the many great places people could visit on the South West Trains network, and all for a bargain ticket price.

Results:
Running for just 50 days between July and August 2015, the campaign generated 145,530 ticket sales and £2,658,860 in revenue.
