Belgian tv-station Canvas will soon air the new Swedish crime series Midnight Sun. To announce this prestigious show, Canvas and its advertising agency mortierbrigade contacted a real Swedish criminal. The result is an intriguing portrait of a criminal who recognises something from his own past in the show, and a cliffhanger that makes you want to watch it.
Scandinavia, number one in crime. Whether it's literature or film, Scandinavia is the number one in crime fiction. One of the main reasons for this success is undoubtedly the high realism of the Swedish, Danish and Norwegian titles. They all have a typical darkness that is so characteristic of the High North. Thanks to this amount of realism, even seasoned and experienced criminals want to watch or read the genre. Belgian tv-channel Canvas used this insight to promote its new top series Midnight Sun.
