The concept behind this ad was inspired by how people’s preconceptions on the older Nissan Micra. These preconceptions resulted in the Micra being prematurely judged as a car that should be cast aside.
The all-new Nissan Micra, however, is not a car you should mess with. It’s a leader in style, technology and innovation, however we knew people’s perspectives would still have to be changed. We wanted to tell a story about defying preconceptions, in a way that Nissan had not done before. Our ad also showcases some awesome Irish talent, including Dermot Malone, an Irish commercial director and of course, the star Isabel Lehane – who is a competitive Tae Kwon Do fighter, rumoured to be taking part in the upcoming World Championships.
