In Israel there are over 14,000 youth living in the streets. Shanti House is a shelter for homeless youth, giving them a place to sleep, food and support. To raise awareness to the homeless youth problem, we at Grey Tel-Aviv, collaborated with one of Israel's top chefs, Segev Moshe, to create a one of a kind dinner: a gourmet meal made entirely from garbage ingredients. We invited unsuspecting food bloggers and reviewers to what they believed was 2017 menu launch. But right before our guests took their first bite, the chef showed them the real story behind their meal, how he went hunting for the best-worst ingredients for with two Shanti House kids, and the way the dishes were made.
