Description
------------------------------------
Nexus Productions directing duo Tom & Mark have directed Five’s new cinematic movies ident. This stylised and epic film centres around a single camera shot sweeping overhead a bustling metropolis seeking out the Five Movies logo reminiscent of the old iconic studio ones. At first the city looks like any other but it’s not until you look much closer that you see that everyone and everything in it is a distinctive icon, scene or element from the world of films.
Incidental to the camera move, the many genres you discover
add an exciting layer of film language to the spot.

Creative Commentary
------------------------------------
Tom & Mark commented, “'The challenge was to incorporate the diversity of 'movies' into a coherent piece that on the one hand was simple, grand and iconic, and at the same time presented a level of detail that would keep it interesting and fun for the repeat viewing that it'll receive. The appeal was representing as many different genres and characters in a
single piece. The sheer volume of design and animation was quite intense within the schedule we had but we love the fact that everyone who watches it can find something new in there every time.'
