Recently, Volkswagen Australia launched a campaign for the new Amarok V6 called ‘Too Powerful For TV’. The idea was that the most powerful ute in its class was in-fact too powerful to advertise. Turns out we were right. Despite creating an ad that didn’t actually show the ute doing anything illegal, the commercial was banned. Whoops. The following day we released this film starring our fictitious Director, on social, with the caption ‘When you find out your TV ad got banned’. Agency: DDB, Sydney
