Igor Gajic

Born in 1975 in Ljubljana. Studied Philosophy at The Faculty of Arts and Film and TV directing at Ljubljana Academy for Theatre, Film, Radio and Television. Since worked as Director of Live Events, TV Shows, TV Commercials, Shorts and also as Editor, Sound Designer and Script Writer.

In Youth he worked as a sound engineer mostly on radio commercials and recording music bands. In 1998 enrolled to Academy for Theatre, Film, Radio and Television to study Film and TV directing.

During study he directed and edited lots of film exercises, a short documentary film Bottlephone, short feature Hot-dog and graduation short feature film I am Vinko. With his school TV Commercial exercise he won his first award at Magdalena International Festival of Creative Communication.

Later he worked mostly as creator and director of live events. Amongst them are:
100 years of Ljubljana City Public Transport ceremony (2001), Chamber of commerce and Industry of Slovenia Awards in (2003), 5. Magdalena International Festival of Creative Communication Awards (2003), Manager of the Year Awards 2004, Prom Nights Ceremonies (2004-2006) and 6. Festival of Slovenian Films Awards (2003) for which he also directed TV commercials that won a Grand prix award at 13. SOF - Slovenian advertising festival.

He's recent events and celebrations:
VIKTOR AWARDS 2006 (24.3.2007) - The Viktor Awards are considered to be the most prestigious recognition for the creative work in the field of media, especially television, and for outstanding achievements in popular culture in Slovenia.
STATEHOOD DAY CEREMONY (24.6.2010) - The main ceremony to mark the anniversary of Slovenia's independence with President of the Republic of Slovenia Danilo Türk as the keynote speaker.
“NOTPADU LAJV?!” (20.9.2010) - The biggest theatrical show performance ever set in Slovenia in front of audience of 22.000 people.

Between 2007-2009 he was director and co-writer of weekly prime time TV comedy show "As Ti Tud Not Padu?!" which run for 5 seasons on Slovenians biggest commercial television - POP TV. The show received many national awards and was named the best TV show for 2007, 2008 and 2009. For the show he also directed, edited and sound designed around 150 comedy shorts and sketches.

In the meantime he also directed couple of commercials - mostly with comedy content and in collaboration with his favorite fellow actor and writer Jurij Zrnec.

Work also as a very skilled editor who edited more than 200 TV commercials, bunch of music videos, TV sketches, Shorts, experimental movies and documentaries for directors from Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia, Poland, USA, Russia, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Israel, Austria, Iceland and cooperated with biggest production and post production houses in his region like Art Rebel 9, Propeler, Super 16 and Super 8, Arkadena, Nora PG, Dazbog & Štaderzen, ...
