Mat Humphrey

Mat Humphrey is an internationally recognized, award winning TV Commercial director. Based out of Sydney he works across Europe, Asia and the U.S.
With over two decades of filmmaking experience, his work is eclectic in its range, but always blends creative visuals with emotional storytelling.
Mat has directed campaigns in every sector of consumer, business, financial, retail and automotive advertising. But is probably best know for his PSA films
He has won multiple Cannes Lions and Clio awards for Direction. As well Best Director AD Fest 2006, Best Direction London internationals 2001 and Best of Show New York One show 1997.
He has also judged many craft awards both locally and internationally.
Mat's work is characterized by his passion for storytelling whether it's comedy, dialogue, real people or intensely emotional drama.
He has an innate sense for the language of film and an amazing perception about how to sustain dramatic moments. With a background in Art and Design he has a great appreciation of visual style but always maintains a balance between the story and the look.
Mat’s enthusiastic approach and down-to-earth friendly nature makes him a great collaborator. He has enjoyed a close working relationship with international brands like Coke, Nestle, Mitsubishi, Mars, Jeep and Foxtel.
