Biography
















Peter’s career in advertising began as a visualiser and
junior art director at J Walter Thompson, Melbourne in 1987, where he was
exposed to major clients Ford, Kodak, NAB and Kraft. After a year he moved into
a privately owned business-to-business marketing agency, gaining experience in
direct marketing for clients BP and Melded Fabrics before moving to London in
1989.

 

Peter’s six years in London were spent gaining
below-the-line experience, working as Head of Art at Marketing Perspectives
(later Red Cell) on major clients Renault, Mars, Uncle Bens, The Gaymer Group,
Baby Bel Cheese, Nutrasweet, Four XXXX beer and Zurich Insurance.

 

Upon returning to Australia in 1996 Peter re-entered mainstream
advertising, reinventing himself as a copywriter at Pure Creative where he
worked until 2002, becoming the agency’s most awarded creative. He wrote
memorable campaigns for Tontine, Mars, Twix and Yellow Pages Online to name a
few.In 2003, Peter co-founded Sense Advertising & Design with Guillaume Roux and David Whiteside.
