Ian Waldie

A photographer of over twenty-two years, Ian’s reason for being is to capture the image which represents a true slice of life, while finding beauty in the little things as well as the genuine oddness of his subject matter.

Having had a previous life as an editorial photographer, Ian’s understanding of what the client desires is conveyed with his ability to interpret the brief accurately, quickly, and without fuss as well as dipping a toe outside of the story board to bring his own eye to into play.

Having been based abroad in the UK and Europe, and now back home in his native Australia, Ian believes it is in the thinking as well as the execution that lies behind the captivation of life’s fleeting moments.

Adding to his stills portfolio, Ian also shoots HD time-lapse and photographic stop-motion imagery for companies, TVC’s, documentaries or cinema.
