On World Water Day (03/22), and with the idea of making people aware of the single-use plastic world crisis, National Geographic presents "Sounds of Future Ocean", a 4-track album with nature sounds made only with plastic materials taken from the ocean. Each track represents na ecosystem affected by plastic: beaches, open sea, glaciers and deep ocean.
A final message at the end of every song explains which plastic material was used to create the songs and invites people to commit to the planet, reduce single-use plastic and take the pledge with National Geographic on “Planet or Plastic?” campaign. The global campaign “Planet or Plastic?” is focused on making people aware of the global plastic crisis and reduce the amount of single-use plastic that goes to the ocean, through communication, actions and partnerships. To support this initiative, “Sounds of Future Ocean” inspires, informs and estimulate through the power of sounds, inviting poeple to take good actions. It’s entertainment with a purpose. The album “Sounds of Future Ocean” will be available on all music streaming platforms on March 22, 2019.
