The BBC has today unveiled a multi-media campaign aimed to change the way people, particularly young people, think about and use BBC iPlayer. As viewing habits change, the success of the streaming platform is now key to the BBC’s future. However, younger viewers sometimes assume it doesn’t have content for them. Directed by Tim Godsall, the three 60” spots see young BBC talent from popular comedy programmes, disguised as uptight, out-of-touch characters, hilariously missing the point of their own shows. These stars include: Peaky Blinder’s stars Kate Phillips (Linda Shelby), Aimee Ffion-Edwards (Esme Shelby), Natasia Demetriou, star of Jemaine Clement’s comedy horror series ‘What We Do in the Shadows’, Kiell Smith-Bynoe, star of BBC One sitcom ‘Ghosts’ and finally Guz Khan, writer, comedian and star of BBC Three hit ‘Man Like Mobeen’.
