Mobile telecommunications company Proximus has released a new spot produced by Czar and directed by Marit Weerheijm. Made with Famous Grey, the spot follows a boy dancing around his house within a family that is relatable yet unique. The ad starts off with a Billy Eliot look-a-like putting his headphones on, and he starts the closely-thought-out choreography throughout his home. He begins with entering his brother's room who is playing video games, joins his mum in that 70's style home workout, magically makes his sister’s rainbow cake, and finally ending with a slow motion shot of him running through the garden with a splash. Most of it was shot handheld, so viewers really get a feel of the action. It is a relatable spot with a dash of humour and a touch of magic. The popping colours give it an almost nostalgic feeling but with modern and high speed technologies of today’s world. The child is lovable, the family home is recognisable and the sync points with dance and music are highly infectious. It portrays the idea that we can all do our own thing within our homes, with our families around us.
