Cut! is also joining efforts with #MeTooBrazil through a new partnership. The campaign videos draw an analogy with script writing, and depict situations of abusive behavior in the audiovisual industry. Created by a group of women lawyers with expertise in fighting gender-based violence, #MeTooBrasil is an independent arm of its namesake movement in the U.S. Along with the Justiceiras Project, the movement aims at harboring victims of sexual violence, providing visibility, support, and guidance to girls and women who experience abusive situations. the campaign includes 3 videos based on real stories so shocking they might seem straight out of a suspense thriller. “Apartment,” “Hotel,” and “Dressing Room” portray situations of abusive behavior that took place in parties, official events, and even during a typical workday in a production set, and involved directors, producers, actors, and other people from the audiovisual industry. read less...
