In New Zealand, Four Square is the friendly corner store that has been around for 97 years. So they understand New Zealand a little better than the big faceless foreign-owned supermarket chains. Four Square playfully explores the good, the bad and the funny quirks of everyday Kiwi lives with their platform “What’ll it be today?”.
For their summer campaign, we created a series of 30” radio ads designed to play on the days when that local insight is most important. “Somethingteenth” is about that weird series of days between Christmas and New Years where no one really know what day it is. “Unmanic Monday” talks about the glorious public holiday Mondays of the long weekends that hit a little different that you standard meh Mondays. And “Lazy Hazy” ponders that messy section of the Kiwi summer, when half of us are still in holiday mode while half us are in work mode.
