Since June this year, the popular food delivery service Uber Eats, has been a major partner of the French Football Federation. As the World Cup kicks off this weekend, the brand has unveiled its first campaign from creative agency Buzzman and produced by Birth Paris. Directed by Hugues de la Brosse - with cinematography from director of photography, Jake Scott - the film emphasises Uber Eats’ support of the French team for the 2022 World Cup tournament, which is being held from November 20th to December 18th. The story follows the day of an Uber Eats bike courier as he makes his way from place to place, delivering food to customers while the competition is taking place. However, it becomes increasingly evident that the excitement from the game has caused everyone in France to lose their voices. Throughout the spot, snippets of a variety of TV shows, including the weather and entertainment, are shown intermittently, building up to the press conference before the French team's match. Following his last delivery of the day, having learned that France scored a goal from his hoarse customer, he breaks into a celebratory dance in the hallway, kissing the national team’s badge on his shirt. This is a masterful and joyful celebration of these unique moments around football bringing together France and Uber Eats.
