Only 48% of women diagnosed with Ovarian Cancer will make it past 5 years. So, women diagnosed with Ovarian Cancer are not only living with the devastating realities of the disease, but they’re also burdened with the responsibility of lobbying the government, spreading awareness and raising funds for research. And with 1 woman dying every 8 hours to Ovarian Cancer, these courageous women are dying before they can make the impact they really want to.
Carry the Courage is a campaign that celebrates the courageous spirit, stories and activism of women who have died from Ovarian Cancer and asks everyday people to help carry on their legacy. These films capture the life and momentum for change of two women, Jill and Kristen, in the present, before revealing that they’re no longer with us, inviting people to carry on their courage where they left off by donating to Ovarian Cancer Australia.
