Re:Scam collectively wasted over 5 years worth of scammer's time, before it shut down in 2018 to undergo further development. With Kiwi losing over $200 million to scams in 2023, it is time for Re:Scam to return, now with enhanced AI technology.
The challenge was budget – as Netsafe is a charity, they can’t afford a big launch campaign. So Phantom Billstickers' competition 'The Takeover' provided the perfect opportunity to get the public excited about Re:Scam’s return. Our concept impressed the judges with its use of LED lights, reflecting Re:Scam's flowing conversation with scammers.
Our pitch won the Auckland submission and scored a free OOH placement in a high-impact location. It's live currently, on Pitt Street in Auckland City.
