A little shelter: Real Street Dogs
Every animal should have an address on the map, but an address that corresponds to a home, not a landfill. In Greece, the sad truth is closer to the latter. An estimated 760,500 dogs and 2.07 million cats currently call the Greek streets home.
A Little Shelter, an Athenian animal shelter that has long advocated for responsible adoption, urges Greek society to recognize that adoption is the only option. Through the campaign “Real Street Dogs”, the NGO aims to open our eyes to the problem of strays in Greece—a real problem captured through real snapshots, from Google Street View.
