DoorDash: Tin Foil Hat
DoorDash has entered the New Zealand market as one of the big global players, so we needed to launch a new local campaign that showed we understand Kiwis, their sense of humour, and their food cravings.
Luckily, we know the little things that make ‘em tick. We get it that they need us when the footy’s kicking off, the traffic’s jammed, and there’s another weather bomb about to hit. We understand that sometimes the only thing that will do the trick is delicious meals from your neighbourhood delivered to your doorstep. So we launched a new campaign, “We get it. Then we go and get it,” to empathise with and help out New Zealanders in need of a feed. By heroing top local eats with clever and witty headlines, we showed we understood the local market. By going deeper it showed we get them by demonstrating that we’ve also been in the same situations our customers sometimes find themselves in. We also aligned our ads with what podcast genres they’re listening to. From being too dusty to pop down the road for coffee to needing a side of a burger to go with your salad. And needing to drown your football loss sorrows with extra gravy to not being able to step outside because of your conspiracy theories. We get it and they got it, this campaign helped make us part of the fabric of society aka kiwi as. DoorDash. We get it. Then we go and get it.
