Piilo is Finnish for a hiding place and Vitriini is.... You guessed it, a vitrine. They are for keeping your precious little items. First 358 Helsinki suggested those names for them. Then we gave the opportunity for people to put something into them and share them online. Anybody could get a piece of Iittala.
