Shadow of the Condor Project: Missing Piece

Top 6: August 1st 2012
The photographer Joao Pina is at the last phase of "The Shadow of the Condor" Project - which took him for nearly seven years to visit several Latin American countries (Bolivia, Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Paraguay and Uruguay) that were ruled by military dictatorships in the 60s and 70s. All those countries, in a joint operation named "Operation Condor", arrested, tortured and murdered more than 60,000 people.

To reveal, document and bring all this to the light, Joao Pina started to visit Argentina, Brazil, Bolivia, Chile, Paraguay and Uruguay conducting hundreds of interviews in the making of the biggest photographic archive about this horrible chapter in the history of the mankind.

To complete the project that will take him back to South America, Joao Pina has launched a crowd funding campaign through the Emphas.is website. To promote the crowd funding, the Portuguese agency Fuel Lisboa created a press and poster campaign that will be running in major Portuguese newspapers and magazines.

Fuel Lisboa and the Photographer Joao Pina are the agency and the photographer behind the 'Mugshots' Amnesty campaign that won several awards in 2011, including a Golden Lion at the Cannes Festival.
