Charmin: The Number One ReadTop 6: November 21st 2012
Lapiz's "The First Bathroom-Made" print ad for Charmin is featured in the November issue of Rolling Stone. The ad was created with the understanding that while it may be true that nobody reads long copy ads anymore (technically, nobody reads short copy ads either.) But, if you think about it, the only place where a print ad could work is in the bathroom, especially if the ad is all about encouraging people to have a joyful experience in there.
Sure, it is unlikely that one can run into this at that exact time of the day, or make it the replacement for our precious cellphone. But for what it's worth, people can read it, save it, share it, hide it, or even use it. And we see useless print ads everywhere these days, so at least this one can help out for a minute or two.
