MTN: Connector Bot

Mobile telecommunications company, MTN, believes that through connectivity we can create change for good. To prove this, we decided to connect design students from the Tshwane University of Technology to the most inspiring design conference in the world, Design Indaba 2013. Agency: MetropolitanRepublic South Africa did this by building the Connector Bot, a beta test proxy droid that ran a live two-way video and audio uplink between the school and the Design Indaba. Through the camera feed and touch screen controls the students were able to pilot the Connector Bot around Design Indaba auditoriums and conference halls just like an attending delegate.
