How to show importance when you are an electricity supplier company to your customers? Telling stories São Paulo, May 2013 – Dim&Canzian got a challenge from AES Eletropaulo, a Brazilian electricity supplier company, to increase awareness among its customers. With these purpose the agency created an action called “Light post projector, that invited the community to participate by posting real life stories on the fansite www.historiasquebrilham.com.br. The most touching where chosen to be projected on the ground exactly where they happened. The lamp posts were fitted with magnifying glasses and acetate with printed messages to project large message-containing spotlights on squares, sidewalks, parks, corners etc. Pedestrians walking by were impacted. “This new channel has an enormous potential, as it a way of sending safety and consumption messages awareness to our clients.” tells Mirla Maria Vaz Prieto, Press Relationship Manager at AES ELETROPAULO. “Through the light we emphasized the importance of the electricity in peoples’ lives, in a simple, interactive and engaging way.”, says Michele Dim D’Ippolito, Chief Creative Officer of Dim&Canzian. “We created a new media channel spread in every single corner where street lights are” explained Marcio Canzian, Chief Media Officer of Dim&Canzian. The fansite received more than 5,000 stories, the first round happen in a 250k inhabitants city called Barueri in March 2013. 50 stories were exhibited, impacting 30% of the total population. AES Eletropaulo got 1527 requests from other cities applying for the action “The best stories in life shared through our energy”.
