Every year we face the same challenge: can we set it higher?”, says Marcelo Lourenço, FUEL’s creative director. “I think we did it this year”, he adds. “It certainly has a different insight”, continues Pedro Bexiga, also creative director. “We decided not to use movie icons, that have always been a part of our ads for Queer, focusing the story on the public. This year we show the classic moment when a son decides to come out to his parents, but with a twist. I think it will make people smile and understand that Queer is a film festival for people who like good cinema and not only for the LGBT community.”
