With Selfies at Sea, a … read moresmartphone app, developed by Host, passengers can now publish their selfies in the form of a short film that documents their entire cruise holiday. The app seamlessly stitches the photos together, then animates them to a soundtrack made up of sampled cruise sounds.
:For those passengers who choose not to have internet on the cruise, the app becomes a surrogate Instagram of sorts. Collecting moments and creating your film is a lot of fun and very addictive. Perfect to be shared with friends and family when they're back on dry land," said Juca Lopes, Digital Creative Director at Host.
Holidaymakers are encouraged to share the films to their social channels, making the app a perfect way to showcase the unique Carnival holiday experience to their friends and family.
The app launches in Australia this week.
