To see beyond the ordinary, sometimes you have to listen.The Volkswagen Scirocco Sonic Highway was an auditory journey made to simulate the driving experience of the Scirocco. To create the Sonic Highway, hundreds of binaural sounds were recorded from the car. These sounds were manipulated and composed into 3 unique pieces of music. Each 3-D stereo soundscape took you on a different driving experience heard in 360-degrees, exactly as a driver would. The experience lived on the Sonic Highway, a microsite designed to awaken your drive. Agency: Ogilvy & Mather Cape Town

The tracks were played 30 903 times, which is over 763 hours of listening time on the microsite. Sales of the Volkswagen Scirocco are up by 6% (March 2014 vs March 2015) and it is now the 2nd best-selling car in the A-Coupe segment, up from 6th place (March 2014 vs March 2015).
