Garry Dean: Public Transport Authority: Train Interruption

Since trains can suddenly appear at any time and take motorists by surprise, We devised an innovative campaign where Perth Trains suddenly appeared in the middle of other commercials in the ad break.
For authenticity we recorded actual Perth Trains and drove them thru the middle of several different real commercials that were currently on-air.
This dramatic element of surprise ensured we got the listeners attention. And the fact that the other ads had to stop and wait for the train to pass before it continued playing was the perfect way to demonstrate the proposition “Stop for trains, because they can’t stop in time for you”.
