Martin Wilson is an internationally awarded Film Director specializing in high-end TV commercials, corporate films and drama. From Perth, Western Australia, Martin studied film at Murdoch University and also from his bedroom during his 5 year battle with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. Fully recovered, he has forged an enviable reputation of delivering world-class production values and eliciting winning performances from professional actors, presenters and ‘real’ people alike. He has directed over 400 high-end TV commercials in Australia and South East Asia since 1997, this includes recent the ground breaking “Cowards Punch” TVC campaign with world boxing champion Danny Green. Martin co-owned one of Perth's premier Film Production Companies, Soul Films for 18 years, servicing a variety of clients including; Bankwest, BHP, Brownes, Fremantle Dockers, HBF, Hungry Jacks, iiNet, Lotterywest, RAC, Synergy, Toyota and the West Coast Eagles. His 2004 film “Roll”, was funded and distributed by ShowTime and SBS Independent. It still plays on Showtime to this day. While promoting his acclaimed film “Wait ’Til Your Father Gets Home” in the United States in 2001, on a hunch he changed his flight to a day earlier. This flight (UA)175 was flown into the South Tower of the World Trade Center in New York City. Martin is a passionate Director who loves the collaborative process of filmmaking and enjoys the challenges that each individual project brings.
