Project prep is a necessary evil, but if you turn back the time on any great paint job with the proper prep, you’ll probably find it kicked off with somebody prepping with Scotch Painter’s Tapes. However, DIYers and professional painters may not know that they need a different type of painter’s tape for different surfaces – it’s not one size fits all. To combat this confusion, the makers of Scotch Painter’s Tapes are reinventing the masking tape category and shopping experience to simplify products at shelf for consumers and help users choose the right tape for any paint job. They're also launching a new campaign with Venables Bell & Partners to educate consumers on the breadth of tools and variety of tapes. For the first time in its history, the brand is shifting the focus from product messaging to communicating the full masking tape portfolio. To create the new spots, Scotch Painter’s Tapes teamed up with mural artist Matt W. Moore who painted an intricate, geometric mural spanning a variety of surfaces both indoors and outdoors. The backdrop of the films is YAYA (Young Aspirations Young Artists), a New Orleans based organisation for young artists, where the mural will live to bring inspiration and lift to a community for all to enjoy.
