Especially in the context of a major cost of living crisis, where consumers were doing their best to axe subscription services, not acquire new ones. So when News announced a $1 Sale, we knew we needed to give more meaning than just a number. So we gave the $1 offer a little perspective by leaning into just how little $1 actually buys you these days. $1 could get you a News subscription, or you could spend it on a slice of watermelon, a few grapes, a nibble of an ice block or a bite of a servo pie. We turned inflation into a demonstration of how much value you get from the offer. A big idea. With big returns. From a little number.
