The centerpiece of the campaign for Fable III is a :60 second film, “Revolution,” set in the fictional land of Albion, 50 years after the events of Fable II. There is great disparity between the rich and the poor, and a tyrannical King is in power. The land has fallen under the shadow of corruption and greed. A Hero has risen and enlisted the people to defend his nation from the inside. Depicted through a series of richly detailed, cinematic, slow motion moments, “Revolution” tells the story of the fall of a tyrant, and the rise of a new leader. Brought to life with Emmy award winning visual effects house Psyop, whose credits include Coca-Cola “Heist” and Häagen-Dazs “Honey Bees,” the team created a CG world built on game assets, then re-imagined and re-detailed it in a style similar to a painting by one of the Old Masters. This rich visual journey is set to a grinding track, “Young Men Dead” from the Austin-based Indie rock group, The Black Angels. The result is a compelling story of struggle and triumph. A story of Revolution.
