The American Red Cross teamed up with BBDO in New York to take a different approach to giving this holiday season and preview the Red Cross' new look that will officially be unveiled this spring. Our holiday giving campaign focuses on giving something that means something through symbolic donations in our catalog--from bringing comfort to a soldier to vaccinating an entire village--instead of giving the usual "stuff" for the holidays. Our latest ads, which feature an animated claymation character who strives to do the right thing and features the voice of actor Ted Danson, encourages shoppers to reflect on what really matters and give meaningfully this holiday. This builds of the findings of our recent giving poll, which showed four in five people agreed they would rather have a charitable donation made in their honor than get a gift they wouldn't use
