Mike has been in the ad industry for over a decade and has worked with agencies Leo Burnett, Publicis Mojo, DDB and Droga5 in Australia. He has also spent time in North America working with TBWA and DDB.

In his time he has collected over a 100 awards from every major award show around the globe, including a rare Titanium, plus back to back gold, silver and bronze lions at Cannes.

He is the co-creator of the Earth Hour initiative, which was cited in the Gunn Report as "the best 360 campaign ever", and has now become a globally recognized brand. In 2009, 1 billion people participated in Earth Hour making it the biggest environment movement in history.

Mike is inspired by, and committed to, innovative advertising - like the Australian-first beer promotion he created this year for Boag's Draught using a bottled water. In 2008 he created the most successful promotional campaign in Australia's history with "Nameitburger" by asking the entire nation to help name a McDonald's burger.

BEST TV
The penis surfboard in "Make Homosexuals Marry" is classic but anyone who can jam Star Wars, Snoop Dog with a light sabre and Adidas in one room is a genius. Adidas Originals spot of the week.
Runner up Droga5 for Blur 'Race like a Big Boy'. Nice insight, simple execution and funny.

BEST PRINT
Now I don't feel so bad for not doing any cracking print lately... this was tough. Nothing really exciting here, best is Road Safety, a bit let down in art direction but still a good thought. Runner up, and because it's world cup fever I'll go with Nike Football.

BEST OUTDOOR
Once again, simplicity and a good idea over lengthy video entry submission.
Winner Nivea Sun mirror. Love the idea of using the sun to communicate a message.
Runner up Olay for Wrinkles, nice media execution.

BEST INTERACTIVE
Winner Museum of London. Have seen a similar idea using digital photos but the iphone app and site idea is a nice extension and better.
Runner up Amnesty Tyrannybook, an interesting way to see what your most hated Tyrant is doing right now.
