BEST TV
Ikea Cats. I'm not a fan of cats. But I have to say I like this spot. It's quiet and the performances are great. Wait, cats can't act. Which is why this spot works. There's an honesty about it and great advertising relies on the clever expression of truth. Plus if you're a retail, product centric client, you have to appreciate the natural integration of tons of product.
Runner up: Spring valley. You could argue this spot has more polish than idea, and I did. With myself, for a while. But at the end of the day (and it is) I just like this spot. It does, as intended, make me feel good. And the weird deer thing even made me laugh. Perhaps it's a bit much for apple juice. But we should all be so lucky to over deliver.

BEST PRINT
WWF Tuna. Call me a sucker for a smart idea, but I like this ad. It's kind of an old school print ad that hammers home a point in a pretty straightforward but compelling manner. I have to say I can't figure out what part is tuna, and what part is mermaid, or some other rare species. but that's beside the point. I know don't want to eat turtle or dolphin and that's enough. And let's be honest, it looks cool.
Runner up: Asonor anti-snoring nasal spray. Funny, smart and simple. I think if the ad were directed to us advertising people the visual would be an account person coming through the bedroom door handing the guy in bed this tasty brief. Because I think we all dream of making print ads like this.

BEST OUTDOOR
Pescariu sports & spa Body dressers. First of all let me say this execution is both horrific and fantastic at the same time. Proof of this idea's ability to break through is in the bewildered look on the face of the guy getting his haircut. For that reason it get's my vote.
Runner up: Mini Ikea. This is a nice take on out of home. Everyone loves small things. I do like the contrast of the mini store with the gigantic suburban warehouses that we usually associate with Ikea.

BEST INTERACTIVE
O Aleph. The great thing about technology is that you never really have to use it in the manner in which it was intended to be used. My favorite innovations are those that repurpose tools. This is a clever, simple site that seems to involve consumers and is more akin to an art project than an interactive campaign. That is refreshing.
Runner up: Boss. There is some tough competition here as always. Clearly the trend is blending interactive bits with parts of the real world. I like the Boss bottled website. It has a couple levels of intelligence I admire. One, it looks good. Two, it takes advantage of some simple technologies and applies them naturally into the concept. Oh and we all love maps.
