Let New Zelanders know the benefits of watching the Discovery Channel on SKY. DDB Auckland created working models that demonstrated how wind power, solar steam power, and time pieces work. For example, the wind turbine powered the batteries, which stored the power until the display read full, which kicked in the neon lights and then finally the lightbox that revealed the Discovery logo.

Standard Bank is sponsoring the South African Cricket Team during the inaugural Twenty 20 World Championship. TBWAHunt Lascaris created the line ‘Natural born hitters’ and calls on all South Africans to ‘Get behind our team’. To bring the concept onto a billboard, they placed a smoke machine between the bat and the ball. When the smoke machine goes off, it gives the illusion that the ball has been hit with so much power, it is smoking.

Grey Singapore has just created an outdoor campaign for Fujitsu’s range of air-conditioners. The ads showcase the impressive cooling power of Fujitsu air-cons.

“We want to dramatise this benefit in a memorable way that brings a twinkle to the eye,” says Subba Raju, CEO of Grey Singapore. “We’ve deliberately avoided the hard, technical facts like compressor speeds, cooling capacities and advantages of inverter technology but concentrated on giving the consumer a simple, useful benefit that will engage them.”

The campaign breaks across poster sites next week.
