Biography


Richard is Deputy Chief Creative Officer at Howatson + Company, forming part of the creative and agency leadership team.

Prior to this, he was Creative Director at CHE Proximity, overseeing the creative output of Samsung, Australia's largest account consolidated in one agency. He was also responsible for multiple other accounts, including Genea, which he turned into one of Australia’s most highly awarded brands both creatively and for its effectiveness.

In his previous role he worked at DDB Sydney where he led Virgin Australia, as well as working across all of their major clients.

His arrival at DDB saw him return to Sydney after 3 years at Clemenger BBDO Melbourne.

His creative leadership focuses as much on the creative output as it does developing the departments talents.

Throughout his career his work has been recognised at every major international award show both for its creativity and its effectiveness. Including numerous D&AD, Cannes, One Show, Spikes and Effie awards.
