This week's guest judge is Christian Buer, executive creative director at GUT Toronto. Winner: Aldi 'Go Big on the Little Things'. When it comes to the Holiday season, I have to admit, I was easily won over by this work from Aldi. I am a devout lover of all things side dishes, anything musical, and personified food. I also love an ad that lets us all just smile and have a laugh. READ MORE Guest Judge: Cyril Louis, ECD, Le Pub APAC, Singapore

This week's guest judge is Cyril Louis, executive creative director, Le Pub APAC, Singapore. Winner: Coca-Cola 'The World Needs More Santas'. We are well into the Christmas season, and obviously, I could not avoid picking a good, cheesy, heartwarming Xmas advert. Coke always deliver epicness and meaningfulness. In a world saturated by sad news, a message like "The World Needs More Santas" is welcome. The use of multiple Santas and the truck makes it unmistakable Coke. READ MORE Guest Judge: Alex Goldberg, creative partner, Ogilvy Cape TownThis week's guest judge is Alex Goldberg, creative partner at Ogilvy Cape Town. Top pick: Sydney Opera House 'Play It Safe'. Hard to capture the spectacular history of something as iconic as the Sydney Opera House, but this piece does it justice. Grand in production, beautifully executed, and a true celebration of every act that has taken the stage. Take a bow. READ MORE Guest Judge: Mark Hendy, ECD, Heimat TBWA, GermanyThis week's guest judge is Mark Hendy, executive creative director, Heimat TBWA, Germany. Halloween is upon us and what can be more blood curdling after a long Monday at the office than sitting down to judge this week's best ads. READ MORE Guest Judge: Rich Denney, co-CCO, St Luke's, LondonThis week's guest judge is Rich Denney, co-chief creative officer at St Luke's London. So my winner this week is going to be LEAP 'Take The Leap'. It would have been easy to go down the route of creating a film showing the serious side of the effects of farmed fish, but if you have something big to say don't just shout about it, sing it instead and using Big Mouth Billy Bass to do it is enjoyable and, more importantly, likely to be memorable too. READ MORE Guest Judge: Arjun Mukherjee, VP/senior ECD, Wunderman ThompsonThis week's guest judge is Arjun Mukherjee, VP and senior executive creative director at Wunderman Thompson South Asia. Winner: Movember 'The Mo is Calling'. The adrenalin went on an overdrive straight from the opening shot, in fact the very moment when the soundtrack by the Mongolian folk metal band 'The Hu' sweeps in. 'Men's Health Matters' and this one-minute, asphalt burning, moustache growing, heart thumping call to action film, makes you feel like dropping everything and go on this ride. READ MORE Guest Judge: Frederico Roberto, ECD, TBWA\RAAD, DubaiThis week's guest judge is Frederico Roberto, executive creative director at TBWARAAD, Dubai. Winner: Sandy Hook Promise 'Just Joking'. Sandy Hook Promise became a staple - unfortunately - over the past few years on the issue of school shootings. This piece is yet another stark example of how awareness can be raised in innovative ways in order to spark conversations and prevent future events. READ MORE Guest Judge: Adam Bodfish, ECD, McCann BirminghamThis week's guest judge is Adam Bodfish, executive creative director, McCann Birmingham. Winner: Toyota Australia 'Hilux in the Middle'. Ahh, the lost art of storytelling. It's played a major role in meaningful human interaction since the beginning of time. And in this spot we have a classic story arc. The scene is set. An incited incident occurs. There are obstacles to overcome (literally in this instance). And a kinda climax that leads to an emotive ending that makes the brand more relatable and trustworthy. Textbook. READ MORE Guest Judge: Brynna Aylward, ECD / creative lead, GUT Toronto

This week's guest judge is Brynna Aylward, executive creative director and creative lead at GUT Toronto. Winner: Uber Eats 'Get Almost Almost Anything'. This self aware, mini rom-com took me back to early 2000s in the best possible way. The spot walked the line of making fun of the genre while still perfectly fitting into it. Plus, as a period-haver, I appreciate any time brands can find a funny way to talk about the subject. Nicely done. READ MORE Guest Judge: Todd Mackie, partner/CCO, Broken Heart Love Affair

This week's guest judge is Todd Mackie, partner and chief creative officer at Broken Heart Love Affair, Toronto. Winner: Prism+ 'Concert'. Much like the character in the ad, it grabbed me from the start and never let go. I actually chuckled out loud. I've done a lot of work in this category over the years and this execution never came across my desk. Just pure simple fun with excellent execution. This week's guest judge is Rob Doubal, joint chief creative officer at McCann London and UK, and one of this year's jury presidents at Cannes Lions. Winner: TAB 'Australia's National Sport Is...' Some great spots this week. With TAB just rising to the top. A brilliantly directed spot, which captures the latent passion and indignation of a nation. The filmic spiral offers an enjoyable outlet for all the tension felt out there, as the Australian population wrestles for which sport is best. READ MORE Guest Judge: Anthony Eigbe, CD, X3M Ideas, NigeriaThis week's guest judge is Anthony Eigbe, creative director at X3M Ideas, Nigeria. Winner: Hornbach '1 Square Meter'. Where do I start? It's such a lovely composition of an ad; the set design is delightfully claustrophobic, the characters don't speak a word but you feel the humour, the music and SFX weren't generated externally, it all happened within the ad. The ad is just well put together. And yes, the concept was equally as good. Bravo! READ MORE Guest Judge: Mark Fitzloff, founder/ECD, Opinionated, PortlandThis week's guest judge is Mark Fitzloff, founder and executive creative director of Portland creative agency, Opinionated. Winner: Robinson Department Store 'The Air Drummer'. Fact: Nobody does ad comedy better than Thailand. I don't always feel like I'm in on the humor, but I love it just the same. This spot for Robinson's Department Store is weird, funny and the actual sale promotion - you pick the items you want to be on sale, and put the stickers on yourself, is a great idea in its own right. This week's guest judge is Neil Walker-Wells, executive creative director at Juniper ParkTBWA, Toronto. Winner: Instagram 'Small Fries'. I'm going with Instagram this week. It's a really authentic-feeling spot with casual charm, and an emotional resonance that's hard to ignore. If I had to explain Insta and the role it plays in Gen Z lives to anyone I'd probably show them this. I feel like it would have been easy to get this one wrong. Beautifully shot and edited. READ MORE Guest Judge: Michael Miller, ECD, X3M Ideas, NigeriaThis week's guest judge is Michael Miller, executive creative director, X3M Ideas, Nigeria. Winner: SKY Sports 'The Greatest Show on Earth'. Doing this review just after England beat Nigeria in a penalty shootout reminds me how much passion is in this category, and how difficult it must be year after year to come up with something fresh. So how brilliantly simple is this big TVC, or should I say big idea? READ MORE Guest Judge: Jen Speirs, ECD, Droga5, DublinThis week's guest judge is Jen Speirs, executive creative director at Droga5, part of Accenture Song, Dublin. Winner: BONDS 'A cabin for your crew deck'. Ok, full disclosure. I am an avid watcher of Below Deck: Down Under, and I am a lifetime fan of the Bonds brand. That aside, I felt this was classic Bonds - a bit of undie innuendo to highlight product features. But why this wins, is because of the added pop culture twist with Captain Jason. READ MORE Guest Judge: Helen King, creative director, adidas, AmsterdamThis week's Bestads judge is Helen King, creative director at adidas global digital, Amsterdam. Winner: Nando's 'Fiery times. Fired up Flavour.' I changed my mind about the Best TV about 6 times. There are some cute submissions this week. Nothing mind blowing, but a surprising number of giggles. READ MORE Guest Judge: Dave Monk, ECD, Publicis•Poke, LondonThis week's guest judge is Dave Monk, executive creative director, Publicis Poke, London. First of all, a massive congrats to anyone that makes it up here on bestadsontv. No mean feat. The whole world sees and loves this platform of weekly curiosity and it's not easy being the week's best. Hats, shoes and jackets all off to you all. However there has to be winners and losers in life, and here's what I reckon was the best of the bestadsontvandradioandoutdoorandprintandinteractive. READ MORE Guest Judge: Tony Waissmann, CCO, República Havas, MiamiThis week's guest judge is Tony Waissmann, chief creative officer at Republica Havas, Miami. Winner: Noah x PUMA 'Winning Streak'. What I liked the most was Puma, I really like the idea of inverting reality, and the "weird" are those dressed and not those naked. It seems to me that it is a way of talking about Noah de Puma's clothes, like different, irreverent, daring, free people. READ MORE Guest Judge: Kirsten Rutherford, ECD, TBWA\Chiat\Day, LAThis week's guest judge is Kirsten Rutherford, executive creative director at TBWAChiatDay, Los Angeles. Amidst spots that leaned into humor, my winner this week CrossCountry Trains 'The Longer Journey' stood out for sweet simple storytelling sharing the reason for a mother daughter day trip to the footie. Sweet without being saccharine, the spot had a quiet charm that stood out. READ MORE Guest Judge: Herbert Hernandez, founding partner, GIGILThis week's guest judge is Herbert Hernandez, founding partner at GIGIL, Philippines. Winner: Heineken 'The Feeling of Good Times' by Le Pub/Publicis Italy. Astig! In my 20 years of handling different big brands that require you to read their thick brand bibles, it's a fresh breath of air to see a brand that doesn't care how people butchered their sacred names and logos. READ MORE Guest Judge: Guy Bradbury, creative partner, M&C Saatchi, LondonThis week's guest judge is Guy Bradbury, creative partner at M&C Saatchi, London. Is it distinctive? Will people give a s**t? Does it make me slightly nervous? These are the things we look for in ideas. And there are some great examples of those things here... Winner: Burger King 'We Give up' by BBH London. READ MORE Guest Judge: Emad Khayyat, ECD, VMLY&R JordanThis week's guest judge is Emad Khayyat, executive creative director at VMLY&R Jordan. Winner: iPhone 'The Waiting Room'. Privacy does matter. In today's world, our lives are intertwined with our phones. If your data, regardless of its type, is leaked, you're essentially exposed to the public like being naked. This concept is presented in a lighthearted manner, skillfully directed and featuring a great cast. READ MORE Guest Judge: Lourenço Thomaz, CCO, Dentsu Creative, PortugalThis week's guest judge is Lourenco Thomaz, chief creative officer at Dentsu Creative, Portugal. Winner: Burger King 'A Little More Confusing'. A great follow up from an amazing concept and campaign we already knew in print ads. Very clever on updating the "Confusing Times" from adult people to even more confusing times now with children and their million questions that are in their heads all the time. Normally the follow ups are not as good as the originals but in this case everything is spot on. READ MORE Guest Judge: Ale Lauraéus, owner/CD, Studio Lauraéus, Finland

This week's guest judge is Ale Lauraeus, owner and creative director, Studio Lauraeus, Finland. Winner: IKEA 'Second best furniture'. A brilliantly executed minimalist tactical campaign with a significant underlying message: The best thing for children is the presence of their parents. READ MORE Guest Judge: Pedro Americo, ECD, McCann GermanyThis week's guest judge is Pedro Americo, executive creative director, McCann Germany. Winner: Toyota 'Toyota Kid'. Love it. It's a very funny and straight forward translation of a true insight that is taken literally. It's been a while since I haven't seen that kind of technique being applied in such a sweet way. It's made me laugh a lot. Plus the song settles the mood just right. Well done, team. READ MORE Guest Judge: Maria Devereux, Accenture Song, North AmericaThis week's guest judge is Maria Devereux, head of innovation and executive creative director at Accenture Song, North America. Winner: TNT Philippines 'Tattoo'. This film reminded me how good it feels to laugh. A simple idea that touched on a relatable pain point for anyone who hates the complexity of life admin, which as far as I can tell, is pretty much everyone. READ MORE Guest Judge: Justin Joshua, global creative lead, The LEGO GroupThis week's guest judge is Justin Joshua, global creative lead at The LEGO Group, Denmark. Winner: Wood Milk 'Got Milk?'. I recently substituted real milk for oat milk, and I enjoy it a lot especially with coffee, still this commercial with Aubrey Plaza is a gas, as she takes aim at milk substitutes threatening to gain market share over the real thing. READ MORE Guest Judge: Gary Amante, ECD, Dentsu Creative, PhilippinesThis week's guest judge is Gary Amante, executive creative director at Dentsu Creative, Philippines. Winner: Intermarche 'Lunch Box'. I like the insight - eating well is becoming more unreachable for most people. Coming from a place where food security is a recurring problem, this ad hit too close to home. READ MORE Guest Judge: Neale Horrigan, ECD, elvis, LondonThis week's guest judge is Neale Horrigan, executive creative director at elvis in London. Winner: Foundation to Combat Antisemitism 'Son'. This is pretty powerful stuff, beautifully executed. As a parent myself, the thought of having to have a conversation like this is the stuff of nightmares. But this does it in a very simple and emotive way that would give any keyboard warrior second thoughts. READ MORE Guest Judge: Joe Baratelli, CCO, RPA, Los AngelesThis week's guest judge is Joe Baratelli, chief creative officer at RPA in Los Angeles. The spots this week are big filmic eye candy. First for me. Crazy people tooling round on a scooter adding more and more danger to the fun. What? Kids do the craziest things and parents need help. And what better way than adults on a scooter, er, stepper, acting like kids If you don't remember what it was like, there is De Opvoedingslijn. (Education line for parents.) READ MORE Guest Judge: Brendan Hoffmann, ECD, Joe Public Cape TownThis week's guest judge is Brendan Hoffmann, executive creative director at Joe Public Cape Town. Winner: Magnum 'Not Available In The Metaverse'. Yes! This piece of work from LOLA MullenLowe and director Martin Werner is an exquisitely told story of the journey of an avatar, who puts on a VR headset to escape to the real world, culminating in her failed attempts to eat a Magnum ice cream. The end line 'Not available in the Metaverse' closes the story, showing there are still certain pleasures, like enjoying an ice cream, that can only be found in the real world. READ MORE Guest Judge: Frances Cooke, creative director, VMLY&R, LondonThis week's guest judge is Frances Cooke, creative director at VMLY&R London. Winner: Macpac 'This is a bit precarious'. This one made me smile! An extremely simple idea, based on a hilariously awkward situation - a bit like a classic Monty Python sketch. A fresh take on the classic 'tough fabric' tropes. A lovely way to sell some relatively boring product benefits (sorry MacPac!). READ MORE Guest Judge: Luissandro Del Gobbo, CCO, Havas, Milan
This week's guest judge is Luissandro Del Gobbo, chief creative officer at Havas, Milan.
Winner: DISCO 'Law Better'. A great script with all the right elements; funny characters, jokes with good timing, and an unlikely protagonist - Lady Justice itself - getting rid of outdated legal tech while suggesting professionals to take off their blindfold about the use of A.I. in law. A nice piece of comedy with an all-around good acting performance. READ MORE Guest Judge: Andre Sallowicz, creative partner, AMV BBDO, LondonThis week's Bestads judge is Andre Sallowicz, creative partner at AMV BBDO, London. Winner: Balter Brewery Company 'We Love a Good Beer'. Having lived in New Zealand a few years ago, I'm naturally a huge fan of the ANZ sense of humour. Balter's We Love Good Beer is so entertaining that it feels like a 30-second, not a 2:18-minute film. The production is gorgeous, and the casting is brilliant. READ MORE Guest Judge: Bec Matlioski, Associate CD, McCann New YorkThis week's guest judge is Bec Matlioski, associate creative director at McCann New York. Winner: PSA 'Fighting Talk'. I love how this spot 'Fighting Talk' from David Dealove brings a witty and stylish twist on a verbal altercation between two guys. The combination of comedy, drama and action builds up to an unexpected ending. Not to mention how incredibly shot the whole piece is.
