A cinematic slice of everyday absurdity, sharp dialogue, twisted humor, and street-smart irreverence turn gross into fashionably gorgeous. Shot in a film-gritty street photography style, it nails the perfect tone for a streetwear brand.

Runner up: Citroen 'The Dreamer'. The craft? Immaculate. The cinematography glides smoother than the car's suspension, the production design is lush, and the edit flows like a daydream you don't want to wake up from. It's not reinventing the car commercial, but it's definitely giving it a long, beautiful REM cycle.

Tackling a genuine social inclusivity design issue, highlighting the hidden barriers to proper hygiene for some in restrooms is the kind of thinking that forces things to change for the better. I found it insightful and memorable and it will hopefully spark conversation and ultimately change.

Runner up: Swell Woolgoolga 'Sanctuary to Surf'. I liked this one because it breaks the category of real estate ads, with simplicity and a kind of effortlessness that I am sure comes with living at this surf sanctuary. Sign me up.

https://bestadsontv.com/news/upload/Selleys_KV1.jpegWinner: Selleys 'If you can take it, it's yours'. Turning a random street corner into a live product demo and public flex-off? Genius. Few ideas get strangers to voluntarily test your product and their dignity in one go. This one didn't just use the media space, it bench-pressed it into a viral spectacle. Win well deserved

Runner up: Volkswagen South Africa 'Forever Golf'. Loved this campaign and insight, while a part of it featured billboards, the heart of this campaign was activated digitally and socially, so it gets a solid runner up in this outdoor category.

https://bestadsontv.com/news/upload/Rescue%20Squad.jpgWinner: Jeep 'Rescue Squad'. Literally going where others can't. A great example of how a brand can show up in the entertainment world of the audience without interrupting, but rather enriching the experience. Well played Jeep.

Runner up: Spotify 'How to Reach Your Target Audience feat. Parbleu'. A vibrant, audiovisual, data-driven showcase turned dancefloor, this piece manages to make audience targeting feel like art. FCB took what could have been a cold ad-tech demo and spun it into a full-on sensory trip, proof that even algorithms can have rhythm.

This week's guest judge is Justin Joshua, Global Creative Specialist/Lead at The LEGO Group, based in Denmark.

With a two decade career spanning three continents, Justin Joshua has built global campaigns for some of the world's most loved brands. Currently based at LEGO HQ in Denmark, he helps keep the brand at the top through award winning creative, from global brand campaigns and adult-relevance platforms to epic IP partnerships.

Before LEGO, Justin worked at BBDO Berlin, DDB Spain, MullenLowe Bangkok, Y&R Cape Town, and Joe Public, collecting accolades from Cannes Lions, D&AD, One Show, LIA, NYF and other prestigious shows along the way.

A regular lecturer and mentor of the next generation, he's a 2025 LIAisons coach, regular guest lecturer at Miami Ad School, Red & Yellow, and Norlys, and a seasoned awards judge across local and international awards shows. He believes in big ideas, beautiful craft, and work that makes people feel something, ideally joy, though mild envy is perfectly acceptable.
