As the candle melted down, it was a strong and emotional illustration of how a children's dreams fade when he or she is raped or abused. Three decades later, this marketing trick became predictable. Even though the Blizzard has introduced new flavors and mixes, the brand needed an original experience that reconnected with its core value: creaminess. The Idea: If every Blizzard must be served upside down, then why not build a entire store upside down. P4 Ogilvy & Mather constructed a Dairy Queen stand completely upside down. The structure was built from the ceiling down (rather than from the ground up). A professional acrobat was hired to be suspended from the ceiling and posed as a Dairy Queen employee handing out Blizzards. We positioned the stand in one of the main local malls on a day with high foot-traffic. This date goes unnoticed in Panama as well as in many other countries in Latin America, that's why this year Bath & Body Works Panama with the support from the Patronato Luz del Ciego (Light for the Blind Patronage) and the Instituto Nacional de Cultura (National Institute for Culture) have created #TheBlindExhibition, an art exhibit dedicated for the visually impaired as part of the celebration and to further equal rights and support art. Each work of art had its description in Braille as well as printed in English in Spanish in order to continue in the spirit of inclusion. In this manner, every visitor could feel and see the works of art with their soul.
